Auction Pictures
"Welcome to Margaritaville"
Here are some images from a very recent auction conducted at
a K-8 Catholic elementary school. The auction was very well run
and raised approximately $25,000. The number of attendees was
capped at 200 and sold out. Admission price, which covered the
cost of dinner and drinks, was $25 per person. "Running a Profitable and Fun Charity Auction: The Complete Toolkit" was
used as a guide for planning and running the auction.

Auction Table Setup Tables decorated with the theme of the auction. As you can see, the auction was held in the gym. That didn't bother the decorations committee, each table had a sponsor who was responsible for decorating their own table. An award given to the best decorated table.

Here is a view of one of the silent auction
tables. This was the "gift
basket" section.

Here are a few of the silent auction items
from the "Dinner,
Food and Entertainment" silent auction table.

Here are items from the "Budding Artists" section.
These were gifts made by students in each class. Because these
gifts had
intrinsic value, the final bids were very high. For example, the
two painted flower pots in the back each sold for $150. The framed
picture in the lower right sold for approximately the same amount.
One of the mosaic crosses sold for $400.

Here is a very excited and happy bidder waiving her paddle.

Just in time for Valentines Day.

Here is the table that displayed the items that would be in
the live auction portion of the evening. Included were:
- Two night stay in Orlando
- Pencil drawing of your home
- $500 gift certificate to a swim club
- 4 tickets to a Washington Redskins game
- 4 up front tickets to the school Christmas pageant
- Charcoal rendering of your child
- Weekend getaway to the Shenandoah Mountains
- Weekend in the Outer Banks of North Carolina
- Log cabin stay on the Potomac River

The next six pictures were "Class Projects" assembled
by each class. This was the "Rain, Rain Go Away-Rainy Day Table.

"Lazy Days of Summer"

"Books Galore"

"Mexican Fiesta"

"Gardner's Gifts"

"Back Yard Barbecue"

A view from the back or the room.

The check-in table ready for guests. All the auction packets
were assembled beforehand and the check-in process went smoothly.

A handmade rosary donated by a dear friend (with a close up of
the silent auction bid form). Multi-sheet forms were used to maintain
accountability (just
like the book says :-). This rosary ultimately sold for $140.00.

Closing out a silent auction table.
