Thank you I received it and found it very useful. I am chairing a Gala at XXX hospital this March and I am getting on the job training. What did I get myself into???? Anyway, last night was my steering meeting and after reading some of your work it really helped get the ball rolling for me. I thank you in advance and will let you know how it goes.
Thank again.

I would like to say that the toolkit is very well written and organized. It will be a big help in organizing our auction.
Thanks again,
Jennifer (San Francisco)
Finding Robert Baird’s “Running a Fun and Profitable Charity Auction” is like finding a cookbook that has all the recipes you always wanted to make but didn’t know how! You’re a non-profit? You need money? This is the book for you! Not only do you learn HOW to put on a charity auctions – live and silent – you are given the shopping lists for what you need, who you need and in addition to the recipes, you are given the times you need to cook this, marinate that, assemble this and serve it all up with gaiety and style. It’s terrific.
I would recommend this book to any organization, start-up or seasoned, that wants to introduce the possibility of holding charity auctions to its board, staff and volunteers. The information is presented in a clear, simple way; and both the advantages and pitfalls of such an undertaking are addressed in a straightforward manner that is helpful for those making the decision of whether to go forward or not. And, once the go-forward decision is made, the Complete Toolkit – as the book is subtitled – becomes absolutely invaluable, attached to your arm, your committee, your whatever, like an extra limb. Toward the end of the planning, you might even go to bed with it.
Thank you, Bob Baird, for an excellent handbook, toolkit, bible, whatever! Along with everyone else who reads this book, let me express my gratitude for your support, and making possible fundraising ventures that work, raise money, and make everybody happy and fulfilled!
